April Wrap-Up

Hi everyone! Happy May!

I hope that everyone is doing well. April was an eventful month - between ramadan and Eid and work, it was a lot. Somehow I still managed to find the time to read, and much more than I expected! I read 8 books and 3 manga volumes, and I enjoyed most of them! There was only one book I rated 5 stars in April, but you can't win them all.

Beat the Backlist: To-read list

Happy Sunday!

It's already May and I have not managed to whittle down my extensive to-read list. In fact, I think it's grown over the past few months. So - I thought it would be a good idea to tackle it head on and take on the Beat The Backlist challenge.

So many of these books have just been sitting in my tbr for far too long, and I'm eager to hop into it!

Animal Crossing Readathon Wrap-up

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well and having a lovely Monday. I can't believe it's mid-April already! The Animal Crossing Readathon is now over, and I had so much fun hosting and taking part in it. I kind of reached all my reading goals for it - I swapped one of my original prompts out for another, but I did read all the other books I added to my list for the readathon. I enjoyed them all, giving four of them 5 stars.

I also thought it would be fun to make a little build in Animal Crossing for some of the books I read, since it fits with the readathon and I was having so much fun doing this with the Animal Crossing Challenge I had with Cossette @ teatimelit.

March Wrap-up

Happy April everyone! And Ramadan Mubarak!

I'm hoping everyone had a good March - or at least, better than the one I had. It's been a tough month, and honestly I'm surprised I was able to read 2 books, let alone the amount I did by the end. There were a lot of hurdles in my personal life, between work and family, and if it weren't for my tbr for this month being really good comforting reads, I don't think I would have read anything. February Wrap-up

Happy March!

I hope everyone had a lovely February! Is it just me or did month go by so slowly?

I managed to read a surprising amount over the month, especially audiobooks while I work or crochet. I'm very excited to read more for March because it's the start of the animal crossing readathon, and I've chosen books that I've been looking forward to reading for a long time. [continue reading]

January Wrap-Up

Hello and happy new year, everyone!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic start to 2022 so far. It's been a bit of a slow month for me, so it's really weird to believe we're in a new year now.

I would like to say I started the year off slow, but I have strangely been quite busy between books and friends. I started planning a readathon with my friend Cossette (more on that later), read a total of 11 books and 4 graphic novels, and started a new hobby! [continue reading]

2021: my year in books

Hi everyone!

I thought I'd take the time to post a little summary of my reading in 2021, and my favourite books across the months!

I know, I know, I'm perhaps one of the last people to make a post on this. I've been planning this post for a few weeks now and honestly, time just got away from me and this post has ended up much longer than I expected.

december wrap-up

Happy new year, everyone!

Wow, time certainly does fly, huh? I can't believe it's already 2022. I'm eager to kick off this new year with some great reads and am setting some goals for myself, both reading and general, to try to accomplish this year.

I didn't read as much as I hoped in December, which I shouldn't be surprised by since I was down with a terrible fever and that made me not want to do anything expect watch tv. I skipped posting last week too just so I had more time to rest. However, I still managed to read 5 books overall, most of which I really enjoyed. [continue reading]
