Thank you to Hasini @ bibliosini for tagging me!!

Three facts about me:

✨ I love to paint with watercolours. To be honest, I’m not great at it, but it’s so fun so I don’t really care.

✨ I have a huge collection of earrings! I just love collecting funky/cool ones, I have a whole range of them from giant hoops to mini daggers. My favourite are these cool face ones, and these strawberry ones my friend gave me (also in my icon!), and these heart earrings!

✨ I’m 4’11 ft / 148cm tall. When I say I’m short I am not kidding.

Best post:
I’m not sure what I consider my best post – but I’m really happy with my post on my favourite thrillers + anticipated releases!

Hasani’s questions

Share an underrated book that you love.

“Underrated” is such a complicated word because what really counts as underrated? I loved The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake and think it’s really underrated (under 2k ratings on goodreads??) but I know it’s pretty big over on book twitter (shameless plug for my twitter account @ saima_reads).

Another book I find underrated, i.e no one talks about it, is Rules for Vanishing by Kate Alice Marshall. It’s not a book I hear a lot about, which is a shame because its such a great mystery novel, and I adored its’ atmosphere and format.

What song reminds you of a book/character/scene?

Great question!! Gosh, so many Taylor Swift songs. I can’t listen to Ivy by Taylor Swift and not think of Evelyn and Celia from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift is a very Hani and Ishu song (from Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating).

On a different, perhaps heavier, note, The Only Thing by Sufjan Stevens reminds me of The Ghosts we Keep by Mason Deaver. The song and the book both brought me to tears and are so emotional.

What country is on the top of your bucket list and why?

I really want to visit Turkey one day!! So many of my friends have gone, and my brother and his wife went there a couple summers ago, and all their pictures look so absolutely beautiful.

What is the weirdest talent you have?

Alas I don’t think I’m that talented. I think my ability to multitask could be considered a talent? I know some of my friends find it weird I can watch something while also reading a book, or sometimes I listen to music while I also listen to an audiobook and do work.

Listen, there aren’t enough hours in the day, okay?

If you were a book character archetype, what would you be?

I did a quiz to find this out a while back, and I think I got The Sage – i.e “A wise figure with knowledge for those who inquire.” Honestly, sounds accurate, I won’t be the one to tag along on a dangerous adventure but I’ll be happy to impart some wisdom or advice to help.

Tagging:

I’m supposed to tag 10+ people but for the sake of time I’m only tagging 5

April Lee @ Booked Till Midnight

Amanda @ Bookish Brews

Isha @ Paperbacktomes

Alienor @ A Fox’s Wanderings

Cherry @ Letters to the Lost

My questions:

  1. What’s your favourite book you’ve read this year?
  2. If you could become instantly fluent in any language, which language would you choose?
  3. What is your favourite food?
  4. What song do you currently have on repeat?
  5. If you could relive any time/moment in your life, what would it be and why?
